Scan for Changes

Although alkasir routinely checks for any change in the states of blocked URLs, there are times when users would like to scan for such changes for themselves, particularly if they disabled the automatic changes (as noted in the Options / Settings section). To scan for changes, click on the Scan for Changes button at the bottom of the main interface window. After clicking it, you will be given the option of having the scan take place in the background (default) or monitoring the scan process yourself as shown:

If you select 'Yes', the process will be done fully in the background and if any changes are detected, they will be automatically applied. But if you chose 'No', you will then be informed directly of what URLs are being checked and will be presented with the results of the scan. If no changes were detected, you will get this prompt:

Similarly, if any change is detected, you will be informed with a prompt and then the program will reload the new database entries automatically.
