Debugging & Reporting Errors

Given that alkasir 1.2.0 (as its predecessor) is constantly under development, there will be cases when alkasir may fail to work properly. When this happens, we urge you not to give up and make sure that you exhaust all possible means to fix the problem. Ensure that you diagnose your settings and read the help files thoroughly before reporting errors.

Occasionally, alkasir will fail even after restarting attempts. In such a situation, a black box will appear on the main interface as shown:

In such a situation -and after alkasir failed for the second time after restart-, it is possible to send debugging information to the developers of alkasir by clicking on the black box. Once you do so, the following form will appear:

This is an advanced feature that allows us to fix any internal problems with the software and track any specific problems some users may face. The encoded -encrypted- information includes all we need to know about the configurations of your system at the time of the error.

At this instant, you have two options. You can try to use the connection established by alkasir and have it send the debugging information directly by clicking on 'Send' and you can enter your email if you want to be updated about this issue.

If alkasir could not establish a connection, you will have to simply copy and paste the encoded data and send it to debug@alkasir.com for processing. In such a situation, you will get a response email about the error and some advise on how to fix it.

We will appreciate you sending this information as it will help us develop more reliable versions in the future.
